Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-focused Commercial Officer to support our import operations. The ideal candidate should have 1–2 years of hands-on experience in import documentation, LC processing, shipment coordination, and customs clearance. Strong communication, documentation, and coordination skills are essential for ensuring the timely and smooth importation of goods.
Key Responsibilities
Manage import-related documentation, including PI, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (B/L), Air Waybill (AWB), Certificate of Origin (COO), and other relevant shipping documents.
Coordinate effectively with suppliers, banks, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and C&F agents.
Monitor LC opening, amendments, payment status, and other banking formalities.
Track shipment schedules and ensure timely customs clearance of imported goods.
Maintain organized import files, records, and all necessary commercial documentation.
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Customs, VAT regulations, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with Procurement, Accounts, and Store teams to facilitate smooth import operations.
Prepare commercial reports and provide necessary documentation and support for internal and external audits.
Identify and resolve shipment-related discrepancies while following up with relevant parties through final delivery.
