  • Bachelor/Honors, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), in Finance or a relevant discipline

Additional Requirements

  • Prior experience in banking financial reporting, financial accounting, regulatory reporting, or audit will be preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of IFRS, Bangladesh Bank regulations, and banking financial statements will be an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Core Banking Systems (CBS) and financial reporting software will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Sound understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong coordination, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet strict financial reporting and regulatory deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Highly organized, proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working efficiently both independently and within a team.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Prepare and finalize accurate quarterly and annual standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards, Bangladesh Bank guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the Bank’s bond portfolio, including fundraising activities, interest calculations, and timely processing of interest and principal payments while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage lease accounting and ensure proper reporting in accordance with IFRS 16.
  • Prepare designated sections of the Bank’s Annual Report and continuously improve the report in line with industry standards and best practices.
  • Coordinate credit rating activities, including communication and documentation with credit rating agencies for the Bank and its bond instruments.
  • Conduct financial and industry analysis using quarterly and annual financial data, evaluate key financial ratios and market trends, and provide insights to support management decisions.
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements and relevant reports for the Bank’s various funds, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Coordinate external audits, regulatory audits, and inspections, respond to audit queries, and ensure timely submission of required documents and information.
  • Address ad-hoc queries and information requests from regulatory authorities, management, auditors, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation, process optimization, and continuous improvement in financial reporting and accounting procedures.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.
