ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Software Engineering Intern who is eager to develop practical skills through hands-on experience. The role provides opportunities to work under the guidance of senior engineers while operating in a lean, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of assigned tasks, researching solutions, and proactively seeking guidance when necessary. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Independently manage assigned software development tasks, including coding, testing, debugging, and deployment with minimal supervision.

• Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot features for web and/or mobile applications while taking ownership of assigned modules.

• Work with databases by writing queries, handling basic schema modifications, and maintaining data integrity.

• Assist with basic DevOps activities, including deployments, environment configuration, and troubleshooting issues in staging or production environments.

• Identify potential blockers, communicate challenges proactively, and seek appropriate guidance from senior team members when required.

• Maintain clear and organized documentation of development work, processes, and solutions.

• Provide regular updates on task progress and communicate effectively with team members.

REQUIREMENTS

Must Have

• Recently completed or currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong understanding of at least one programming language, such as JavaScript, PHP, Python, or Java.

• Practical knowledge of databases, including query writing, basic schema design, and an understanding of replication.

• Ability to work independently by researching, troubleshooting, and solving technical problems.

• Basic understanding of software testing practices, including manual and/or automated testing.

• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.

• Strong sense of ownership with the ability to complete assigned tasks without constant supervision.

• Good communication skills in both English and Bangla.

Good to Have

• Familiarity with modern development frameworks and technologies such as React, Laravel, Node.js, Express.js, or TypeScript.

• Basic knowledge of DevOps practices, including deployment pipelines, servers, and hosting environments.

• Understanding of RESTful APIs and API integration.

• Experience with personal or academic software projects; a GitHub portfolio will be considered an advantage.

• Interest in AI/ML, POS, and ERP-based business solutions.
