2–3 years of experience in solar PV or the power sector, though candidates with less experience and strong potential may be considered.
Basic understanding of solar PV design, including system sizing, inverter selection, and net metering.
Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with clients and non-technical stakeholders.
Willingness to travel frequently for project site visits across Bangladesh.
Proficiency in MS Office, with AutoCAD or PVsyst design software skills being a plus.
Strong written and spoken communication skills in both English and Bangla.
Preferred Qualifications (Plus Factors)
Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) integration.
Familiarity with government tenders (e-GP) or World Bank and ADB procurement rules.
Experience writing commercial proposals or project feasibility studies.
An existing professional network in Bangladesh’s industrial, RMG, or corporate sectors.
A valid driving license.
About the Role HBL is looking for a versatile Solar PV Engineer to handle both the technical and commercial sides of our renewable energy projects. You will be responsible for finding new business, meeting clients, assessing project sites, preparing proposals, and helping manage projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate can manage their own time well and is comfortable in client meetings, on-site for technical surveys, or drafting specifications at a desk.
Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh (with frequent nationwide travel)

Key Responsibilities
To find and develop new solar PV business opportunities with industrial, commercial, and institutional clients.
To build strong relationships with existing and potential clients as their main technical and business contact.
To help prepare clear technical and commercial proposals, financial offers, and client presentations.
To represent HBL in client meetings, technical site discussions, and industry events.
To visit sites nationwide to check roof or ground conditions, shading, and electrical infrastructure.
To write site assessment reports, feasibility notes, and initial system design inputs.
To work with clients' technical teams to collect necessary data like electricity bills and site drawings.
To create pre-feasibility studies, cost estimates, and financial models for solar and battery storage systems.
To prepare technical specifications, single-line diagrams, and bills of quantities (BOQ) for client offers.
To help prepare tender and bid documents for government and donor-funded energy projects.
To assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination alongside construction and procurement teams.
To coordinate with manufacturers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure equipment meets specifications and arrives on time.
To monitor on-site project progress, solve technical or coordination problems, and report updates to management.
To help prepare final project paperwork, including commissioning reports and client handover documents.
To collaborate closely with internal engineering and purchasing teams to match our offers with our building capabilities.
To keep up with new solar technologies, battery storage updates, and market trends in Bangladesh.
